Non-Profits Using Video To Tell Their Story

Non-Profits Using Video To Tell Their Story

A friend shot us a link to a recent Plain Dealer article about non-profits increasing their use of video. Cleveland-area nonprofit agencies count on videos to attract donations

“It’s about storytelling. More nonprofits are seeing that storytelling is a compelling way to generate interest, and ultimately, motivate people to support them,” said Kimberly St. John-Stevenson of Saint Luke’s Foundation”

It brought to mind our recent project for CUPS Cafe in Medina. www.cupscafe.org
Most of the video pieces that are embedded in the PD article are similar to the CUPS piece; loaded with testimonials that act as a driver to craft poignant storytelling of how the organization works or has positively effected the lives of those it has touched.
We loved doing the CUPS piece. I think alot of non-profits would benefit from having the warmth of video used to identify what they have to offer, how they operate. The article mentions that “video creates an instant a-ha moment” Video works well in communicating a mission in a really heartfelt way that generates moments of “a-ha” recognition of what an NFP, such as CUPS is all about. We’re looking forward to other projects for CUPS and other non-profits!
